Francescatti/Casadesus, Kremer/Argerich and Cerovsek/Jumppanen are my benchmarks in these works. Mutter/Orkis and Dumay/Pires are also excellent sets, often overlooked. The Gramophone-touted Faust/Melnikov is in my opinion a rather over-hyped affair, the only truly excellent rendition in it being op.96. The other sets mentioned are all very fine.

My vote goes to Kremer/Argerich.
