LOL - I couldn't care less what he tweets, but the fact that his tweets and other statements rile the so very very sophisticated is very entertaining.

You wrote here (I believe) that you believed that Trump was serious about reducing the Federal deficit. He has signed on to a tax bill that increases the deficit by $1.5 trillion dollars over 10 years. Can you care less about that?

The debt will increase by $1.5 trillion, not the deficit.  If the annual deficits remain below three percent of GDP on average,  the impact is not really material.   Now, a recession will change that, requiring more deficit spending, but one outcome of that and the increased deficit spending will be to force fiscal politics to focus on spending reductions and tax increases.  The latter is bad-ish, but the former is good, so it's all good in the end.

Some people care what he tweets.

Spare me the arithmetic. If the the bill increases the debt by $1.5 trillion over 10 years that implies that the deficit is larger by an average of $1.5 trillion/10 =  $150 billion per year.

LOL - as if his misstatements were confined to his puerile tweeting.

On a day like today, the sand must be warm, I grant you that  0:)

I pointed out that you used the wrong term.  Deficit is annual, debt is cumulative.  You did the arithmetic.  And in the context of an economy that will generate over $200 trillion in GDP in the next ten years, $1.5 trillion isn't scary.  It will shift the fiscal debate to cutting spending.  It's all good.

I can't; there are teenagers of all ages on the internet.

Love your response.

Two interesting whatevers.

One. My wife and I have been watching a series on the Military History Channel about the Roman Empire.  The latest episode was about the Battle of Adrianople and the destruction of the Roman Army and its aftermath.  We noticed many parallels on what happened in Rome and what is happening now in America.

Two. Mussolini made the trains run on time.  So what?

Easy.  But you should care for me.   ;)

Could you try a little harder than that at an answer?

His tweets contain dangerous provocations as well as misinformation and outright lies. They also make him appear unhinged and ignorant. They also make him a laughingstock on the world stage.

So why don't you care?

. . . but it's all thanks to President Butternut!

You could at least do the decent thing and either link to the article or mention the author by name.

Because I generally care only about things about which I can exercise some control.  Everything else is optional, especially political tweeting.

If this is all you've got to explain why his irresponsible and embarrassing behaviour doesn't diminish your opinion of him then I can only read this as "head in sand".

bwv 1080

ISTM that most people focused on the President's behavior already have an opinion that can't be diminished or enhanced, they are just looking for that latest outrage either to virtue signal to others within their circle or use it as a club against those outside of it.  Letting Trump troll you every day does not seem like a good way to go through life
