Great album, Dave.  Not Double Live Gonzo, but it will do. ;D  There is an album out there called California Jam II that has a live version of Free For All that is outstanding.  Do not know if it is available, but worth looking into IMO.

Dr. Dread

Thanks, Boge. I must have some songs from Double Live on my Ted Nugent Ultimate collection.

Please tell me that it has the live version of The Great White Buffalo.

It appears I have a hole in my collection that needs plugging.  ;D

How was that Bix set you played the other day?

Delightful.  It pretty much has the tunes that Bix is famous for, with some other songs sung by pre-Bing vocalists (in other words, nasally & without his relaxed crooning soul, though not bad, imo).  A fun disc, overall, and I always notice when listening to it and other jazz records from the '20s & '30s that my mood radically improves.

Right now:

:-* for Emmylou.

Kullervo

John Greaves, Peter Blegvad and Lisa Herman - Kew. Rhone.

A nearly unknown progressive rock (happily missing all the po' faced seriousness and pretension that phrase would imply) masterpiece.

I nearly bought this when I saw it in the used bins several months ago.  A low rating on RateYourMusic stopped me.  What do you think of it?  Also have you heard American Dream?

A number of great songs, the rest are good to fair. Worth picking up used, especially because of the warm, analog mastering.

Haven't heard American Dream.

OK, the title track on American Dream is killer.  It has a couple of other good songs and a lot of ordinary ones.

Some post Colorado blizzard vinyl listening:

There's a commode on that cover!

(Semi-seriously, I remember mention on the 'making-of' featurette on the Psycho DVD, of how the appearance of the commode in the shower scene was a cinematic novelty.)

Maiden spin. Better than I expected, given the reviews.

I bought that when it was newly released; I remember liking it well.
