I would like to disagree, in my view Marais is musically murdered on this disc.
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

Paillard J.S.Bach box disc 15: Solo Cantatas BWV 54 & 169.

So, reaching the end of the box. Good solid performances, but WHY does Birgit Finnilä sing on the left instead of center? This is distracting. Also, why did Erato still in the late 70's sell "Schlage doch, gewünschte Stunde" as J.S. Bach's composition? Not even on this 2022 boxset is the work re-attributed to Melchior Hofmann.
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

I agree, because it enhances the exposure of a wider audience to so much beautiful music.

The various Amazons have it now, and it's available at a higher price from the UK retailers (Presto and Europadisc.) I got mine at JPC: https://www.jpc.de/jpcng/classic/detail/-/art/complete-praga-digitals-recordings/hnum/11065826

Oh baby!  The mother load!  It is everything.  Their Beethoven is one of my favorites, and I really like most of their recordings.  I have to buy this box.  Thanks!!

Both were new to me when I originally bought this disc, but that's quite a few years ago now. I think the other works were all on an LP Simon Rattlle did back in his CBSO days, called simply The Jazz Album. I enjoyed that too at the time, though I haven't heard it in years.

Precisely. Plus, it offers a fresh perspective.

Adams: Violin Concerto [Kremer/Nagano]

I have always found the Violin Concerto to be both an exciting and intriguing work with a wonderful slow movement and a terrifically exciting final movement. A wonderful work.

Once I owned this on an LP. Very poetical and eloquent playing from mrs. Bernáthova.

Yes I prefer this performance to other famous recordings. I own the Ancerl Gold edition, but I like this cover art and use it for my iPod.
