Good morning! (Not for me after seeing this)  :-[

Well you could post only the text, I got a little nauseous of the cover.
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

The Consort of St. Sepulchre

This album was released in or around 1975 and was at the cutting edge of HIP from a very good Irish ensemble at the time in Ireland. The performances are wonderful from all concerned but the vocals are a stand out performance for me. This album has long been a particular favourite of mine.

Oh look, it's well established that Fra Bernardo (including Beauty Farm) do lots of appallingly bad covers. It's their "style".
Nobody has to apologise for using their brain.

Mention of Askenazy's retirement from public performance prompted me to listen to his recording of Mozart Piano Concert No 25 in C. Just a great performance. The finale, particularly the close, is the thrilling ride it should be.

Was inspired to listen to some other extroverted Mozart, the serenade in E-flat for harmonium, recording by the English Concert Winds. Fantastic music

I like these Mozart recordings too

Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 5 K. 175 [Perahia]

This was a multi award winning performance in 1982 and not without good reason. The playing is infused with lyricism and fluidity and lilts along effortlessly.

This looks great. I only know ST/4, thanks to the JACK Quartet.

Comments welcomed on the other two! (And the quartet, too, of course.)

Well I love it. In fact it's my favourite cover in the world.

Schumann: Fantasy in C Op. 17 [Brendel]

This very fine, interesting and exciting music is wonderfully played here.

I think that it is a very fine collection, well played and recorded.I have only heard the first CD of this twofer. "Herma" played by Pludermacher is quiet impressive.
I'm now listenening to ST/4 played by Quatuor Bernède and they give a fine performance but I have no reference.Saying something about Xenakis is always difficult, there is  a kind of randomness in his music and I have no knowledge of other performances.
Nevertheless, they sound all very fine to me without knowing how it should be.I would say,go for it, it is a nice compilation.

I listen now to Polla Ta Dhina and it is for childrens's choir and orchestra and it catches immidiately my attention and is dedicated to Hermann Scherchen the conductor.

Listening now the CD 2

I'm just in love with this 4 CD set of Scriabin Symphonic Works.

Just moved on to Disc 3.

Symphony no 3 in C minor, The Divine Poem. Fabulous performances under Svetlanov.
