Third spin.  Getting better each time, and it started off qualitatively competitive with Anderszewski, heretofore the best single disc of Szymanowski piano music I had heard.

I quite like the variations. I've also been listening to Yudina play some of the preludes. Not my cup of char, those very derivative preludes  - I think that put me off the Zimerman CD last time I tried it

I have listened to a few clips. Doesn't sound baroque -or neo-baroque - at all.

A peach of a recording.  The Dvorak is as least as good as any version I've heard, including the mighty Richter, and, more importantly, the Martinu is a corker.  Gonna have to have a shootout with Firkusny.
