Mister Sharpe

From the NYer, June 6 & 15, 2016 :

"Don't adhere pedantically to metronomic time...," one of 20 conducting rules posted at L'École Monteux summer school.

Dancing Divertimentian

Veit Bach-a baker who found his greatest pleasure in a little cittern which he took with him even into the mill and played while the grinding was going on. In this way he had a chance to have the rhythm drilled into him. And this was the beginning of a musical inclination in his descendants. JS Bach

Ken B

This, which has been repeatedly censored by facebook.

André

Facebook has relented. Someone there (probably over 40, if such a kind exists in that crowd) made the connection and decided it was not child pornography.  ::)

ComposerOfAvantGarde

Just a photo from rehearsals for my old school's upcoming concert featuring a number of scenes from L'Orfeo. Looks like there's a cool mix of old and new instruments here! (Take note of the baroque guitar on the ground, so cool)

Karl Henning

I like this in part because of the sneaky little typo.

Also like this but for different reasons than the above Sieff shot.

I don't know if I'd call it a collection, but I've a number of old postcards and stuff I picked up over the years. My ex took almost half of it when we split up, although it was mostly things she'd collected in the first place. Anyway, this is one of the cards that is on my home office wall above the (non casting) couch. It's as cheesy as hell, but I like it.
