I have given up on the flash button. Never works for me.

No, it doesn't!  Best workaround is to save this bit of code:

[flash=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/v/CFA6dEwWOb4[/flash]

Which, semi-parsed, is "http://www.youtube.com/v/" + the YouTube video ID

Marie-Helene Arnaud by Norman Parkinson during the 1950s.
There's another photo of her I like even more (by George Dambier and less contrived than this one) but the above colour shot is such a nice example of the work in 'Vogue' at that time.
"You overestimate my power of attraction," he told her. "No, I don't," she replied sharply, "and neither do you".

The thread title is Pictures I like, not A picture I like, you know.  ;)

This is certainly a nice one from the pair:

Yeah, I know. I just wanted to give the two different images both room to 'breathe' in case I posted the black and white.  ;D
But that's a good one you posted. And an interesting choice too.

Here's the Dambier shot I was referring to.

I think that's beautiful.
And for the sake of accuracy (and being neurotic about such matters! Heh) I don't believe that's the final edit - but I can't find a more complete one. As far as I can remember the bottom right features some kind of electrical outlet or phone line socket or something which I feel contributes to the composition, including almost serving as a kind of punctuation.

I was actually pretty sure that this was indeed the one you referred to after I saw some examples of Dambier's photos. Do you recall if the Vermeer repro is cropped like that in the final edit?

E: Well, I actually found the original 8)
(E2: Oh, and I certainly like the photo as well)

I noticed that one. It's a website representing his work and so if it's his final edit, then fair enough. But...

Also clears up the question regarding the Vermeer.  ;D

Yeah.  :)
So what do you think? With or without the outlet/socket? And I'm not asking that in reference to the Vermeer.  ;D

Oh, most definitely with the socket! And the lampshade, too.
