Hmmm, I see that it is tied to In the Loop.  I may have to check it out.
Yes. And he created Veep. It's very funny stuff.

Here are two tv series that I have taken in of late:

White Chapel

Enjoyed this one quite a bit as they use historic crimes to help them solve copy cats of modern day.  Hope more will follow.

and

Rubicon

Only one season on this, but 13 or so episodes.  Worth checking out if you like conspiracy runs.

I just finished watching all of the episodes of The Thick Of It (brilliant show), having stumbled upon it when browsing Hulu Plus. (I'd seen In The Loop a few years prior.) I think S4 of The Thick Of It was partially backed by Hulu, so that may be the only venue from which you can stream the program. I'd been wanting to take a look at Veep since I found that Iannucci was behind it.

I have it, but would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't become so nauseous from all those handheld cameras. I curse this fashion.

After the first season, the American Office used a zoom (and handhelds) in almost every shot. That's not an exaggeration. Constant zooming. In-to-out or out-to-in. I got used to it and kind of marvel at how honed the direction/camera-work was that they could do that continually. I like it better than the slow (crane?) spinning around a scene that was very fashionable in BBC dramas and even The Wire. It's like being on a monorail around a scene.

As well as the DVD of all 4 seasons. But it's not available as part of their Amazon Prime free streaming, nor is it available at all (disc or stream) via Netflix.

Watched Pulp Fiction again, but this time, for the first time in twenty years, I got to watch it on the big screen.  Last time I did, it was on a small multiplex screen.  This time it was on a giant seventy-footer.  Some little details I either never noticed or forgot about popped out boldly, like the fact that Maynard wore a bottle opener as a necklace.  Alas, though the theater has a near-SOTA sound system, sound was not particularly compelling.  Anyway, it was nice to see this film on the silver screen again.

Has anyone seen this?

Hmmm. Interesting. A film based on a staged version of the Fourth Book of Madrigals.  It's available for rental/download on Amazon US.  The two people who posted Amazon reviews were certainly impressed. Perhaps....

First 2/3 of this film are just amazing. The last 1/3 is dreck. In fact that last 1/3 compel me to place this in the running for one of the worst flicks ever made.

I really liked that one. The finale to the series was horrible, though.

I felt the series as a whole was just pretty crap. I thought Bane was the best character in the series, even though casting him as white was a travesty. I also thought that the third film had the best music and stunts. Bale was a worse choice than Clooney to play the the role of Batman. Although, Bale is a perfect Bruce Wayne. Anne Hathaway is a joke of an actress, and I didn't think she could be worse than Halle Berry, but there she was, being wretched. To be fair though, it was really the shit writing that made her such a bad character.
