Serenity! I do love that film, and the series that spawned it. Good harmless sci-fi fun and games.

Anna......Netrebko Karenina, Sophie Morceau, yes she is smashing.
Good film, well done.

Haven't seen that but I'd watch anything with Marceau ;D.

(And my wife would too! :o)

At least she's not a soprano, eh, Harry? ;)

"DON'T LOOK BACK", with Donald Sutherland and Julie Christie.

A good movie in the scenario of a strange and morbid Venice. Venice is the real center of the movie, more than the plot or the characters.

GREAT movie - eerie, haunting, uncanny. Oh, I'd love to watch it again. I envy you! ;D

I really like that movie. The narrow canals of Venice don't seem so idyllic anymore; especially if the weather is a bit foggy >:D.

"The Chorus" was a really great French movie with the action taking place at a boys' boarding school. A new teacher changes his troubled pupils through the power of song. Excellent acting in this poignant and poetic film + nice music of course  :).

One of the two creepiest, most haunting (in the bad sense) films I've ever seen (the other being Angel Heart). Kids wearing read coats still scare the crap out of me  ;D

the phone rings and somebody says,
"hey, they made a movie about
Mahler, you ought to go see it.
he was as f*cked-up as you are."

Yesterday:

Mr & Mrs Smith

Surprisingly, it wasn't as bad as I expected... It's a bit strange for a comedy (and one about marriage especially!) but I actually found a lot of it funny! :o ;D

I think Robert may mean the De Palma film. I remember it very vaguely but the general premise of the movie making a sort of loop (something strange happens -> gives rise to an obsession -> the obsession turns out to be somehow "misguided") was more or less the same (I think). I'd say it the general idea stems from Vertigo probably...

Absolutely correct.. You know De Palma had his own obsession with Hitchcock.....Im not sure but I believe Bernard Hermann did the music.... How obsessed is that?   ??? ???....
