I've been watching this and frankly you could sense that last goal was coming. Pompey look rubbish right now

I love this man:

Tony, someone posted this on TLW the other day. Fucking cracks me up, like one of those dodgy ads you used to see at the cinema when you were about ten:

hahaha what a wink! I think it's really cool he agreed to do that, it's like a high school project (or worse) without any affectation. Nice one.*

* (no wonder he's the only scouser everyone likes) lol!

derby day, man I love derby days. The game they played earlier this season was sensational, hope this one is as good (with a lot of blood & guts & stuff)

This could have gone on humerous youtube video thread but thought it might be appreciated here:

Norway just beat Germany!

A pity that 'the Voice of Norway' is no longer alive to celebrate this great achievement:

"We're quite far behind them now and we needed to win the game, but you never know," said Beckham.

"This league is strange, you can win one week and lose the next, so there's a chance, but it's a slim chance.

That CL you're raving about.  Is that abbreviated CELTIC?  Yes, Glasgow Celtic are indeed a finer team than any he has managed so far.

But wait, why tell Mourinho to 'fuck off'.  Is there no better way you would like to see him go from the World of Soccer entertainment?
Mourinho is one of the finest if not THE finest soccer manager in the World, driven by tactics of the heart and not the head.  Any attempt by him to 'fuck off' will be met with extreme hostility.

I'm glad he moved on from Chelsea, he was too good for such a rolling rambuckle pile of players such as Chelsea.  Now I can watch them lose matches again.

no I meant (The) Champion's League, this is always my favourite part of the footballing calendar.

Mourinho I hope will soon receive his foot squarely into his mouth. He is smart, charismatic and handsome, but to see him humiliated on the pitch would be an absolute pleasure. You make it sound as if I want to see him dead  ::)

I guess you're joking about the 'tactics of the heart and not the head' part, because he sets his teams up like machines, like battering rams, and not as creative sides which get the emotions boiling (heart).

We agree about Chelsea :)

Looking forward to Liverpool v R Madrid.
I am not a fan of Real Madrid.  Hope Liverpool win.  But...if it was Liverpool v Everton, I'd have to go Everton every time.  My two favourite clubs (in England) are Everton and Newcastle.  I used to support Scarborough, but they no longer exist.  :'(
Favourite Scottish team is Milngavie Wanderers.   ???
Favourite German team is Weder Bremen.  ;D
Favourite Dutch team is Ajax.   ;D
Favourite Italian side is Bari.  :o
Favourite club manager is Arsen Wenger.  :)
Favourite contemporary composer is Rautavaara...   :-\

Yeah, both games pretty much over by the half. Bayern must be happy

4-0 Liverpool v Real Madrid.  Didn't expect that.
2-2 Juventus v Chelsea.  Kind of expected that.
7-1 Bayern v Sporting.  WTF? :o

Next, Man United...

ezodisy

I hope all the English teams make it through (okay only 2 to go). Looking ahead to an all-English semi-final, that would really make Platini and Blatter happy. lol!

MISHUGINA

Manure just got owned 4-1 at Prawn Trafford. The empty seats by 90th minute is freaking priceless.  ;D

The last time Benitez opened his mouth and tried mind games against the master, Pool nosedived. You'd think he'd learn. But NO.

I am laughing at him now and the following comment from ESPN is apt:

"Liverpool meanwhile, were almost entirely nullified. It's no secret that if Gerrard and Torres are kept quiet, they have very little goalthreat from elsewhere, and tonight, for the most part, they were as quiet as a mute mouse sucking on an everlasting gobstopper in a monastery."
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

Undutchable

Well chaps, Man Utd gave a fine display against the Arse-nil  ;D yesterday mixing brawn with flair and booking their rightful place in Rome. I bet a repeat of last year's final against the Chavs
