Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

Bellini's Il Pirata is just under $20 on Amazon Prime. Well worth it at that price.

Caveat emptor: if it is sponsored by the Peter Moores Foundation, that means that it's sung in English.

Not this one. Yes, the Peter Moores foundation sponsors the "Opera in English" series on Chandos, but also other recordings. These Opera Rara sets (e.g., the original French versions  of Verdi's Les Vêpres Sicilinnes and Don Carlos, Mercadante's Orazi e Curiazi, and much more) are not in English..

No it doesn't. I have many of these Opera Rara recordings (including this one). They are all sung in some sort of original language (where sometimes there is more than one choice). Opera Rara also has outstanding booklets. This particular opera is not sung in English.

Reveived a whole batch of Norrington from JPC today, along with a whole big batch of Skrowaczewki's Bruckner.  And his Brahms 4 Symphonies, some Mahler song cycles.  Great bargains, thanks Harry  :)

Your welcome my friend. I'll do my best to find as many bargains as I can, and alert all on GMG.

My mistake. Maybe I still can't get over my shock at finding out, when I was about to buy Simon Rattle's recording of The cunning little vixen at a low, low price, that the text was actually an English translation, and that's the reason why I tend to associate the Moores Foundation with that kind of (weird) practice. I mean, there's actually an English version of Lulu backed by them out there somewhere!

At JPC de the label Signum, 17 tiles 9,99€ per CD. Maybe not a super bargain but interesting, for this label is not often discounted in price.

They were also in the Brilliant deal, not only the single releases, but JPC was not that clear about it.
The Froberger is a very good example of Stella's art, I for one like it very much.
Bach by Molardi is an acquired taste, I for one will not even buy it for this price. Molardi is good in many things, J.S Bach is not one of them.

Simone Stella is an excellent musician. I have him playing Buxtehude's organ works and his harpsichord works. Both are an extraordinary value on Brilliant. One of the real gems of their catalogue.
