Never worked for me either (and I checked within a few hours of your posting it - actually none of them worked for me). But I did find it on the site, and it does appear to have been removed since then (probably due to high demand as you said).

EDIT: Thanks in any case for highlighting it! Still much appreciated.

The page is now marked 'unavailable for purchase'.

The original Living Stereo 60 CD box is $61 at import CDs.  They loaded up the discs with lots of extras (often a whole other album), and they are name performers, too. (Lots of Reiner, Heiffetz, Rubinstein, Munch, etc).

Great heads up, was thinking about this for a week.  Pushed the button today.  Further price drop to $56, got mine delivered to the UK for £39.90.  60cds @ 70p per disc is amazing.

I have about twenty of the recordings on Sacd/Cd, but what a great addition.  Quality, Performance & Price, a real SDCB

Importcds has the 18 disc Clementi pianoforte sonatas for $39 and the Gesualdo madrigal box on Naxos for 27. Also the real Chopin box for 70.

Harry

JPC has a sale of the Label K617, 70 to 82% off, some beautiful titles.
LOOK UNDER NEUHEITEN!
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

I don't know anything about the quality of this, but it's definitely a SDCB (117 discs for $99)

Mixed reviews on the sound quality.   A lot of discs / performances but with so so sound at best by all accounts.

I wanted to figure out which Tchaikovsky 5 was here, and found a complete listing here:http://blog.livedoor.jp/wolfgang1968/archives/55551405.html

Do not buy this.
Rilling's complete Bach cantatas for $70 http://www.amazon.com/Bach-Complete-Cantatas-Johann-Sebastian/dp/B004K583KA/ref=sr_1_7?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1391654066&sr=1-7&keywords=Bis+box+set

Think of this as a test. It's a SDCB. It's the greatest body of music ever written. It comes in a nice box.
Resist. I had his passions and B-. Resist.

I can resist very easily.  Since I have the whole shebang in the form of the Hanssler Complete Bach box.  >:D

Actually, I have two whole shebangs, since I also have the Teldec box. (the plain vanilla CD version of Karl's Bach on a Flash).

Here's an odd one that perhaps only applies to me (for now). Two local shops (I live in Taiwan) have this set for about $156.  That is actually close to $4 a disc.  Is that even an SDCB? Actually, I like my discs around $2, but I really do like Gould a lot, and I love original jacket stuff... The owner of one shop insists it just came out, although it seems to have been around for a while in the States (But is much higher at Amazon, only available through 3rd party sellers).

I think it came out last year,  selling then for about $100US.  I wouldn't be surprised to find it OOP now.  I have most of the recordings it contains,  so I let it pass.

Wow, $100! And here I thought you guys would be jealous :P
Well, thanks. You just cured me of my urge to get it

Baklavaboy resists. "You just cured me of my urge to get it ."

I, a Canadian, have mixed feelings about GG. If you have Scott Ross's Scarlatti read his remarks on Gould. If you don't have it make it a top priority.

Mookalafalas

Ken, I'll keep the Scarlatti in mind :)

Just pulled the trigger on this, as it's British price is so ridiculously cheap:
