Yep -- I have been listening to it a lot, I'm about half way through. That's a lot of piano -- I'm loving it.

He's recorded quite a few other things -- Ravel, Spanish composers I've never heard of  . . .

It's impressive from the point of virtuosity and sound. Interpretively it is not unlike Beroff's Debussy - thrilling.

Really superb Visions de lamen from Gareis Pohl Duo - stands out from the others. Very well recorded too.

Thsnks, but... I don't quite see why you think this is for me.  :D

But thanks anyway.  :)

Not because you take acid,  but because you like Messiaen and understand French.

I hope that you all don't mind my newbie question, but of all the Messiaen boxes out there (OOP or not), which is most recommended at this point?

Hello, mystic, welcome, newbie questions are always appropriate, and you will likely get a number of replies.

While I do not have this box, I have many of the individual recordings, which are excellent.

If you prefer a collection of his organ music, this set by Olivier Latry is also highly regarded.
