Raised a smile.
Glad that his comments helped them; a great story.  And hopefully, he'll go and watch some of the performances soon (if he hasn't done so in a while).

It was the light irony that tickled me (although not really that surprising I think, things that have been publicly dissed, particularly if superciliously so, often get a sudden rush of support in response). If he thinks ballet/opera are a waste of time that's fine by me. Perhaps a bit risky to go round pronouncing disparagingly about it if you work in the arts though. Apparently his grandmother, mother and sister all danced for the New York Ballet, so I assume he may have seen one or two performances.

I suspect that it's maybe a case of he's young and doesn't know what he doesn't know.  Give him some time, and hopefully he'll check them out further; maybe he'll like them better then and maybe not.  It also depends on the performances and works that he sees and whether or not they resonate with him.  Sometimes, things click.

Well yes, but as I say, whether or not he connects with it is not a concern of mine. If he did have a particularly notable epiphany I might read about that, but aside from that any interest I had in his opinions has waned.

That's fair.

Local goings-on.  Music Millennium is precisely the wrong venue for such music.

Claude-powered AI agent's confession after deleting a firm's entire database: 'I violated every principle I was given'

"AI did it" is sort of like a high tech "the dog ate my homework" excuse.  The story exposes fundamental failures in terms of security, redundancy, and operations.  I'd love to read the incident report, the compliance report, and any E&O claim the company may file.  IR calls would be fun to listen in on, as well.
