Heh. Is that a Spaceballs reference?

It would be Trump playing with a Trump doll saying to Barbie in a Dark Helmet voice "of course you're attracted to me, I have money and power and you know it"

Sad news. I was more of a Beatles fan but I always like CW who was married to the same woman for 50 years.

Today's excursions included a visit to a record-breaking World's Tallest Sand-Castle at a temporary exhibition in Blokhus,  Northern Jutland, Denmark. Height is 32 m, it has been registered by Guiness, but actually there's a small amount of some stabilizing material added to the sand.

Great News!

Sweet!  Though the photo looks more like lemon curd--which, by the way, is excellent over a bowl of fresh berries.  And you don't need a lot of it either as it's very intense!.  :)

Love that they had said that Mrs. Moir makes the best puddings in the world.  ;D

Video game playing is restricted to 3 hours a week now in China.

We might be expecting many more refugees (mostly in their 20's/30's) soon.

Video Game refugees? Really?
I'm kidding of course.
But wouldn't be surprised if millions ignored that rule, after all, it is the most effective form of escapism and destressing for many. That's why it causes so much addiction.
People won't like it for sure. It's one thing to choke people all day long while being in public. But to go home and still continue to choke them?

I know for sure that the Chinese government has required apps that citizens need to install on their phones... I wouldn't be surprised if they also had ways to monitor game consoles and pcs.  Big brother is watching.

And just passed my Twitter transom, the news that China will, in pursuit of a better moral culture, ban effeminate men from appearing on TV.

The solution, of course, to prevent China's evil influence, is for the US to counter that by ONLY showing effeminate men on TV.

Then they will cower before our moral superiority and mass suicide out of embarrassment, and so the CCP will be gone forever.  8)

Soles 1cm too thick. They do look rather beefy:

Damn, the shoes he wore cost $250 and have a space-age appearance:

I looked into the story a bit and apparently one can use them for training but not in competition.  Don't know who knew what, but the rules are the rules and hopefully they received the proper notices and that they were timely.  Don't know how it works in terms of marathons.  I know that you have run some T.D.  I'd love to hear what your knowledge is about this...how things work these days in terms of posting/notifying players re rules.

More on the shoe thing from Reuters:

Hurisa crossed the line with a time of 2:09:22 but less than 45 minutes later was left distraught when his time was struck off as his shoe soles were five centimetres thick.

The soles of road running shoes cannot be thicker than four centimetres and Hurisa had worn a different set of shoes to the ones he had mentioned on his form.

Race co-ordinator Hannes Langer said: "We also stressed in the technical meeting the rules about the shoes. Unfortunately, we had no other choice than disqualifying the athlete.

"It's the first time something like this has happened. I'm pretty sure that from now on there will be some form of checks to avoid something like this to happen again in a major race."
