I, proud father of Kimi

Today, on a regular scheduled pre-nadal visit, some things were not normal. Vanessa's BP was 150-110, and the baby was lacking oxygen. So, a decision was made to do C-sec immediately.

Our baby Kimi was born at 12.50pm, 7 weeks premature. She weighs in at only 1.3kilos, but was otherwise OK for her age. She will be in ICU for the next 4 weeks or so.

It is a miracle for Vanessa and I to become parents to begin with. It is also a miracle that we moved our scheduled doctor's visit up one day, or the baby may be gone. Thank God for this!

I am happy and worried at the same time. We need your prayers for baby Kimi's recovery and growth. Hope she will do OK for the next few weeks, so we can finally take her home come June.

Amazing, wonderful, awesome, Boy am I glad for both of you. Congratulations! What a happy day it must be for, and what joy, finally life from your own flesh, and she is healthy too.
Of course my prayers are with you all, and also my extreme joy, and I will sure as hell, take out a bottle of my best champagne to celebrate this glorious event. Give a big huge to Vanessa from me, and a tiny but loving one for Kimi. I love that name.

No pictures for a while since I don't even get to see the baby for all this time. They are really guarding her tightly.
I am going back to the hospital shortly and will stay with Vanessa for the next 3 days.
