Too bad the cover is such a tarting-up, eh?  8)

Great music, terrible cover. Better that than the other way about, Karl. ;)

I have to confess to really liking those. :)

Nor do I remember finding anything to dislike in them . . . .

Chopin's nocturnes, sadly by Barenboim... I wish I had a CD of them with another performer  :(

My partner lent me Pires which I downloaded to iPod.

I deleted them only last week, knowing that I would never listen to these fitful performances again.

Somebody told me Idel Biret is good but I do not really know and am not really bothered any more.

Le Filleulle des Fees, complete ballet, and easy listening!

Of course, if you think the reissue cover is bad, check out the originals:

Well, you can't go wrong with a rose (unless you're Sir Paul).

The other cover, though . . . .

Mark

I'll stick with the reissue, thanks. ;D

Actually Mark, these were the original (CD) covers (my CDs say 86, 90, 92) The sound is supposed to be more natural. They are on Chesky records.:

All right, another instance of going wrong with a rose  ;D

Ligeti: Violin Concerto (Tetzlaff/NYPO/Gilbert, radio aircheck).
Great performance of this modern masterpiece. I think Tetzlaff is this work's finest interpreter to date.

Yeah, the third one is certainly tacky, but I rather like the first one.

Ah! The first one was slow to load, and I'd missed it.  Complete agreement, George.
