London was very lucky to be allowed to host that historic meeting.  ;)

Some very nice pictures there!  :)

And here we are again - another off centre photo taken by a kindly member of the public. The London Eye and Houses of Parliament in the background:

Hehe, that one is arty as well - they are using the rule of thirds without even realising it :D

You read my mind, Lethe.

Thanks for sharing the photos, Jeffrey. :)

The pleasure was all mine  :)

QuoteJohn:  Interesting.  The books say more about you than the cat does.

Jeffrey:  No doubt true (although some are my wife's). What do they say?

$:)  Dr. John Jung explains this:

A Daoist Journal - I respect that very much and now I want one.
Some fiction by blockbusing and mainstream writers.
A smattering of Personal Development books.
An interest in both the fantasy and hardboiled.
A silly cat.

Seems to me to be someone eclectic in taste, a strong person, someone who wants to explore damn near everything but with a slight concern over their role and functionality in life.  As for the cat, I see a feline yearning to be more intelligent, but alas, it is a daft cat and cannot read, so settles instead into a safe sleep beside the handkerchiefs which it will use to mourn it's overall sillyness.

You are very perceptive John (or is it Sigmund?) especially the bit about 'concern over their role and functionality in life' - excellent. I have always thought that Taoism made a lot of sense. The journal was kept as part of a counselling course I did. Thank you for your views, which made me smile.

Charlie, however, has taken a dim view of your reference to him as (I quote) 'a daft cat'. He wants you to know that the photo was unrepresentative and that he is actually a highly intelligent, and as can be seen below, very active cat (for a 14  year old)

I apologise unreservedly to Charlie, whom I was mistaken to think of as a 'daft' cat.  It is quite clear from the picture that Charlie needed a sleep after making his entry in his Daoist journal, a task which in fine Daoist tradition, is niether here nor there, even though it's here when it isn't and isn't here at all when in fact, it is... :-\

But yes, the first thing I pay attention to on viewing someones elses space is what they're putting into their heads, which is usually music and books.  It's a good barometer of character.  I rather liked what I saw of your books, a very balanced set!  ;D

I have decided to take the 'altered pic off the site, as it makes too light of a meeting which was another landmark for this forum and brought together two of its finest minds.  In retrospect, the altered version could also be considered offensive. :-X

Meanwhile, I am so taken by the Daoist journal I'm away to get one.  ;D

Charlie forgives you. You see, like most cats, he is very Daoist in his approach to life and has learnt to 'let go' of what needs to be let go of  :)

I hope that you find a nice Taoist Journal.

I don't think cats see it that way.
