Scrolling through Qobuz, I saw that there is a 28-minute Prokofiev Waltz Suite that I have never heard before and impulse-decided that it was time to hear it.

Ooh, nice. Nimrod Borenstein! The name alone demands a hearing.
"A quiet secluded life in the country, with the possibility of being useful to people ... then work which one hopes may be of some use; then rest, nature, books, music, love for one's neighbour — such is my idea of happiness"

Rosza: Violin Concerto

Wonderful performance, but the recording makes the orchestra sound too reticent at times.

One of the best performances in the big, bold and brawny category. The SD doesn't have the finesse of the WP, but boy, can they ever pump those decibels ! Sinopoli is more adept at Bruckner than his compatriots Abbado or Chailly.

That recording of the 5th has an amazing take on the work's coda: slow, grinding, crushing, desperate, a fake triumph.

Beethoven: String quartets 3 and 4

Always a joy to revisit this rewarding music and played brilliantly to boot.

The current annihilation of a people on this planet (you know which one it is) is the most documented and at the same time the most preposterously denied.
