Stravinsky: Requiem Canticles

Like a perfectly cut diamond in its dimensions and allure. Great performance.

S#14 was very enjoyable.

Aho seems to have some resonances with Rautavaara and Holmoe. Superficial assessment after only a couple of listens?

I may, of course, be barking up the wrong horse....

I bet that it is a stunning album.  I'll try and find some samples of it.

Interesting!  I don't know any Cypriot music/composers.  What is the album/music like?

Aww, look at Baby Hilly here! This recording stole my face right off my head the first time I heard it. So beautiful. I have loved it ever since.
I do enjoy her playing.  I must admit that she has a look on her face which says [possibly a couple of things]:  "Take the d*&m picture already!"  ;)

Good job I don't do anything important for a living, isn't it?

Edvard Grieg.
Complete Solo Piano music.
Volume III.
Lyric Pieces, Book 8, opus 65/Book 9, opus 68/Book 10, opus 71
Eva Knardahl, Bösendorfer, 275.
Recorded: at the Nacka Aula, Nacka, Sweden, 1977.

Truly balm for ones very soul, and Eva Knardahl who charms with her artistry the socks from your feet. Grieg was a fabulous melody maker, and had a great amplitude for scaling the depths of his soul, and produce the most wonderful music. Next to Sibelius solo piano music it can stand beside it with honour. Excellent performance and sound.
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.
