It's not unusual for me to subscribe to the New York Daily News once the season starts for that paper's sports pages. From what I'm reading on-line from various sources, Yankee injuries are popping up that are of concern. But like you, I can't wait for the season to begin.

I meant what I said. I didn't read the article. I just know this individual's proclivities about honesty and misdirection.

I am talking about Trump, the person who is pretending to be able to pardon him from his MLB ban.

He can pardon the tax charges. Based on his ravings on twitter or truthsocial or whatever, he makes it sound like he thinks he can then get Pete reinstated by the MLB.

I do think Pete Rose should have been reinstated to MLB, before he passed away and by the individuals with the authority to do so. My big gripe with Rose is how he virtually ended Ray Fosse's career in the 1970 all-star game.

For me Baseball exists on the field.

I have no interest in whether Pete Rose gets in the HoF or if he gambled on his team, and all the related issues. I also have no interest in who was rumored to have used PEDs, or if that keeps them out of the HoF.

I am interested in the game as it is played on the field.
