Marco Antonio "da Bologna" Cavazzoni.
Organ Works.
And compositions by: Claudio Veggio, Giulio Segni, Jacopo Fogliano.
See back cover for details.
Lieuwe Tamminga, Organ. (See for details about the Organ the back cover)
Recorded: Probably, 2004.
No PDF file, so I do not know the Pitch or Temperament. Guessing can go both ways, I chose the safe side, asking for info.

The first of 18 CD's I bookmarked on Qobuz. The sound is so so. What we would call this in the Netherlands, the organ is swimming. The focus on what the instrument can do and what not, is a guess. The organ is situated in the San Petronio Basilica in Bologna. The small scale instrument is lost in the acoustics, and that is a pity for the Lorenzo da Prato instrument, (1471-1475) is a fabulous organ. So its difficult to record. Still, the line up of composers and their music is near perfect, and Tamminga is doing his utmost. To my ears it's a musical success, but a disaster in sound.
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

I can picture the situation, and I would have liked to be one of your guests. ;D

From the shelves:

Alessandro de Marchi is an excellent Vivaldian. The title of the recording is taken from the concerto RV1 51 "alla rustica", but there is little of a common denominator in the selection of concerti - "six examples from Vivaldi's concerto oeuvre".

If you ever decide to come to Ukraine (after those barbarians get the hell back to their swamps), I'll be glad to welcome a dear guest :)

Mandelssohn, Felix - Piano Works w/ Ana-Marija Markovina on a Bösendorfer Imperial piano; 12-CD box - she uses the new MWV catalog (compiled by Dr. Ralf Wehner) starting with the years 1820-21 on the first two discs; the 'Songs w/o Words' are arranged in the same manner and not bunched together, which may be a negative for some.  Dave

I keep you to that, I will certainly visit the Ukraine again, and will not forget to visit you!

Perhaps, painting is a better word than poem (or, perhaps, another world altogether). To make a space into a place for those who have never been to that space is a rare gift (although, I find that all the Russian composers I've listened to seem to have this gift, in fact, all the composers who are nationalists seem to have this gift of evocation - see Bernstein, Copland, Gershwin, etc.). Superb orchestration with a well-balanced orchestra led by a quality conductor - production is also top notch (no peaks, even when the brass is blaring overlapping with percussive overlapping.

High recommendation. :)
