Soon afterward my manager texted me and I decided it was time to reveal my diagnosis of long-term kidney failure.

I've not seen a plastic cover in a long, long time from any new physical media I've purchased. Plastic is capitalistic and corporate, so I only see that when I buy a rare disc from eBay, which becomes rarer and rarer by the day.

All my music is digital, and I strive to purchase it directly from the artists themselves (hence, Bandcamp).

I do think that eventually I'll get to cut Presto out as artists continue to take fuller control of their music.

Now, of course, this does mean that I am unplugged from the mainstream, but that is a cost that I am willing to bear.

Of course, you'll see plastic if you're lazy and go to a corporate shop like Amazon or Best Buy or Barnes or whatever, but, if you do as I do, you'll discover that there are a lot of ways to package compact discs, many of which use recycled materials which can then be recycled again.

I honestly don't know as yet. Tonight is the first worknight of the week, and he's yet to notify me of any changes. I may get there and encounter any number of scenarios, good or bad. ( He seemed amenable to alleviating at least some of my challenges, but he has bosses as well... )

Well, there are also work laws; you should check into them.

But of course, I was referring to plastic discs and cases. Even if your discs are without cases, they miraculously remain plastic. Or have compact discs suddenly started being produced from biodegradable materials as well?
