Most of you have probably heard the news about the Iraqui reporter who threw his shoes at Bush.  Although I was impressed with how well Bush eluded the footwear, it did tick me off that anyone would throw stuff at the U.S. President no matter how poorly he has performed his job.

What should be done with the reporter?

karlhenning

Reprimand, and his employer should issue a public apology.

A firing squad of shoe-chuckers.

George W. used to own a baseball team, did he not? Probably learnt the moves from his players ;D

Seems like he's been punished enough.

I was thinking along these lines.  A couple of minutes of shoe-chucking, then release him.

Let's see:  89,884 – 98,136 Iraqui civilian deaths so far (according to http://www.iraqbodycount.org/)

Gee, the whole throwing shoes thing just doesn't seem that important.

Cheney's quite a guy.  If he was the object of waterboarding, I bet his opinion would change instantly.

Set him free immediately... What he did should have been done a long time ago.

(George W. Bush is a very dangerous man, in case you all forgot)

Brünnhilde forever

I am wondering: Where were the Secret Service men! Aren't they supposed to throw themselves upon the body of the President at the slightest hint of danger, shielding him with their own bodies from any flying objects, bullets or shoes? Nobody moved, even after the second shoe sailed through the air.

As to the shoe-thrower: He is a perfect student of Democracy: Freedom of expression! Demonstration of your opinion! Give him a medal!  ;D

Aren't you going to give him any credit for not being anorexic?

Considering the enormous disaster that this man has wrought I believe that the Iraqi reporter was (in a way) justified in what he did.

(Again, George W. Bush should have been carried away (peacefully) in handcuffs a very long time ago)

Ever wonder why you're not on the Supreme Court?

There are several idiots on the Supreme Court, starting with Scalia.

Are you arguing, on that basis, that you're entitled to a spot there?
