I think so ........ if it's the one that contains the symphonies under Barshai and the SQ's with Rubio ........ (I'm not sure about the other materials which comprise that set  :'()

Ahh I'm not sure but I guess you're talking about a recording right?  ???

What I mean was a new score publications series of Shostakovich's Collected Works in 42 volumes. lt includes all his works known today, as well as most of Shostakovich's instrumented compositions by other authors. Over 80 of his works are being published for the first time. This is how it looks like (volume 5):

I'm trying to get more information about it before buying (it's a bit expensive...) so I thought it would be nice to hear from some of you who have experience with these scores... :)

Does your restenment of Wagner antisemitism preclude you from accessing his works? I was of a similar mindset not too long ago, but have since changed.  :)

I'm not an expert about Wagner's personnality, but I know he had jewish friends.
I know he criticized jewish people, but, I myself criticize my own friends at time.

Anyway, welcome on this forum.
Enjoy :)

Hi Marple.

I share your interests, or a subset of them (though I must confess to listening to a bit of Wagner, as well).

I imagine your contributions to GMG will be stimulating  0:).

Has Wagner's anti-Semitism caused you or anybody you know harm in any way?
So I guess you dislike Thomas Jefferson also because he owned plantations and slaves right? So he must all be a racist right?
Get off your high horse and try to appreciate music for what it is worth, instead of living in your pompous, self-righteous and pathetic supposed code of ethics will you?

With comments like the above, new folks won't want to introduce themselves.

The man said he didn't like Wagner, and he gave a reason also.  Let him be.

PW is a quarrelsome guy when it comes to his much reverred Wagner.
On the whole he is not that friendly.
But that's because I do not like this composer also. ;D

eeeeeOOOps! Sorry, Harry. In any case, it's an excellent recording of Mahler's 3rd, imho. I've gotten so much out of it.
