Hmmm...1 Part Buxtehude to 4 of Bach! :)
Well, 1 good deal of Buxtehude to 4 good deals of Bach! I would like to spend my money on  Doctor Who DVDs but since they (those I don't have yet) are insanely expensive (BBC needs money it seems) at the moment, I have to buy these cheap Naxos discs instead.   :D
Spatial distortion is a serious problem deteriorating headphone listening.
Crossfeeders reduce spatial distortion and make the sound more natural
and less tiresome in headphone listening.

I heard that this Beethoven fella is pretty good.

And ,thanks to Harry, also this:

Erato, how different is this set than Farr's set on Naxos?  I would get the one you showed, but if it's not different enough, than there isn't much to warrent more of what wouldn't be good to get more of.  It's great music but.... you know.

As I understand it, the Moroney is a complete survey. In any case, it's 3 discs vs 7 discs if I am looking at the same Naxos recoring you have. They Hyperion site has a complete disc by disc listing to compare against.

Moroney has 7 discs!?  I thought Farr did a complete box?

She did only a complete Lady Newell´s book, and this constitutes less than the half of Byrd´s keyboard production.

Aww man.  I wouldn't mind hearing Moroney's set now.   How much is the Moroney set?

Do not know the actual cost, acquired it maybe four years ago.

Agree - I have both the Moroney & Farr - Moroney obviously has all of the Byrd keyboard works and on different instruments and w/ an excellent booklet; bought my set at BRO for less that the current Amazon MP offering; however, I just checked BRO and Moroney is still available but for $42, still a good deal but more than I remember paying.

Despite the above, the Farr 3-CD set is outstanding and a great Naxos bargain - just depends on 'how much' of Byrd's keyboard works you desire and the need for some duplication; the performances are indeed different -  :)

I was trying to be funny as you had 1 part and 1 part Buxtehude, 4 parts bach. But I couldn't say you had 4 parts bach because you only had ONE bach. I'm making it more complicated considering the minor nature of the punny joke. Anyway, hope you enjoy it.

Yes, I have this in this recording which I suspect won't be in as good sound as yours. It's a good middle of the road set with one or two surprisingly good performances. If you've heard Krip's Mozart you might be very surprised as to how he approaches Beethoven.

My recording is on the Bescol label. Which label is yours - I can't seem to found it on the 'net.
