Great! I have not problem with that, if it works out for you.  ;)
How amiable :)

:o  So I assume you like it so much that there was still room left for this set? :) Looking forward to further comments! :)

I always have room for the Old Bach!  ;D

So I guess the gamble on Amazon UK didn't work out... :-\ Again curious about your experiences with this set! :)
Well, on January 8 (although I just saw it yesterday) I received a mail from Amazon UK, saying the distributor was delayed, therefore a new date was announced (January 26 or something so). The set arrived today came from Amazon France and I ordered it almost a month ago, before the set from UK. If the gamble is successful I will give it as a gift to a friend of mine.

Right now I am listening to the Mazurkas played on a 1849 Erard by Fou Ts'ong. It's just delightful...  :)

Well, admittedly, I'm a charming guy...  8)
Admittedly-- Though do beware  self flattering; that can very soon turn to something not so very charming ;)

I will keep an eye out for other recordings on this label, Stuart.  This one was VERY impressive.

Absolutely.  I did not know it actually has released some recordings by Moravec ...

Another Bluebeard's Castle on the way and this will complete my Bartok/Boulez series on DG:

That sounds really interesting, actually.

I don't know about that performance, but Reger's clarinet quintet is not to be missed.

Just got Peter Schreier's Mozart Requiem w/ Staatskapelle Dresden. A beautiful performance! Well-played, sung, and disciplined, and very exciting in places that should be.

This is my 2nd recording of the work; the other is Istvan Kertesz's w/ VPO. Also good, but I prefer the slightly lighter approach from Schreier's.

Bought these two recordings of Ravel's L'enfant et les sortileges. I was looking through my Ravel collection and noticed I only had one recording of this opera (w/ Dutoit). Kudos to Brian for reminding me of this masterful work in the "what are you listening to" thread.

P. S. Brian, I contacted Amazon about their wrong picture under the listening of the L'Enfant et les sortileges on Naxos. Hopefully, they will correct this mistake soon.

What is the difference between "Today' orders" and the longstanding "Purchases Today" thread?

I think it's for those who are unsure whether their orders will turn into actual purchases, i.e. those whos orders from unreliable vendors.

You're right.  We should be systematic about it and have a sequence of threads:

Items I have ordered
Item's my credit card has been billed for
Items I have received a shipping confirmation for
Items I have received
Items I have removed cellophane from
Items I have listened to

and finally remove all of the unendurable ambiguity that has been plaguing us
