You should hear Jean-Efflam Bavouzet in Ravel's Piano Concerto in G. Very fine. Equal to or even better than the Zimerman/Boulez.

Well, as a matter of fact I remember very well his performance of Ravel's Piano Concerto for the left hand, with Salonen/Philharmonia Orchestra; it was an absolutely marvelous, splendid interpretation!! It's not too hard to imagine that Bavouzet could be excellent in the Piano Concerto in G as well.

My pleasure, Ilaria. The recording of Ravel's PCs with Bavouzet features the conducting of noted French specialist Yan Pascal Tortelier. A great conductor and quite underrated IMHO.

Been hopping around this set.  Right now, the Georg Boehm disc.  Superb.  The highlight for me so far is the Corelli Recorder Sonatas.  Yes, Recorder Sonatas.
