I'm currently really liking this one!

Brahms Symphony No. 1 by Giulini/VPO. This is a broader and slower performance of the work than Karajan/BPO. The atmosphere feels dark/melancholic, while Karajan make it sound more triumphant. Both are superbly played and valid, even if Giulini's approach is the more alternative one.

Beethoven: "Waldstein" sonata. Kempff, stereo. On LP. A very fine performance indeed.
I love music. Sadly, I'm an audiophile too.

The last Brahms Symphony No. 1 for this Sunday, and now Bernstein/VPO. I think this can be recognized as Bernstein with his emotional approach. The Vienna strings are very present. I don't think this performance has the same nice flow like Karajan and Giulini, and it does not really connect with me like those ones.

Hope you enjoy that more than I did, Corey.  :-\

The performance is great, but the sound is awful!

Brahms: Piano Quartet #1 (orch Schoenberg); Robert Craft's first recording of this essay in over-the-top reimagining. Lots of fun.

Posted earlier on the Haydn Horn Works on a natural horn - decided to play again for our dinner music - the sound of the horn seems to just help the 'digestive processes'! -  8) ;D

Just wanted to listen to my HIP Mozart Piano Concertos w/ Bilson & Gardiner - still a great set, but I would like to hear others -  :)
