Good morning.

That is a fine recording Bill. I played that a short while ago, and still find new things in it.
Goodmorning to you.

I got a Monteverdi cd that came in yesterday, Bill it will be my first exposure to the composer! :D

Which disc would that be David?

Harry, could you please remove the gigantic picture in your signature? It causes a disruption when reading text.

Mahler 7, Boulez.

A wonderful and under-appreciated symphony (my fave, along with the 4th, I think...) and Boulez really has its measure.  Recordings like this really cause me to scratch my head in wonderment at those who regard Boulez as dry and lifeless.

Stravinsky: Violin concerto. Bress/Prague SO/Rohan. A very good Supraphon-pressing this, from '68. The music is a first-hear. Interesting, grabs my attention.
Flip side.
Schönberg violin concerto. Same forces. Intriguing, provoking. Must hear again soon.
I love music. Sadly, I'm an audiophile too.

Just switch allegiances to Haydn, and you'll be fine through your 104th birthday!

D Minor has found the Silver Bullet Lining!  :D

... go to your profile and under 'look and layout preferences' check the 'don't show signatures' and they won't bother you any more. Works in my layout. What a relief!  :D

Thanks so much, V.! I received 14 gifts total

Very Bachian in significance, Andy! 14 gifts for your 41st year!

I also recommend as festive listening Prokofiev's ballet Le pas d'acier and Schoenberg's Ode to Napoleon Buonaparte, each composer's respective Opus 41  0:)

Then disable it in you own settings. I am rather fond on my image. :)
