Not bad! Don't forget that $83 is your monthly maximum!  >:D
Don't you mean $83/composer?!?! :)

Well done, my friend! :) The cover has an exotic feel to it, on what label is it? :)

Q

Sorry I missed your reply, Q, unnecessarily busy  :-\  It's on CD Baby, released 2007. I have another by her, it's on Titanic, same label as Lola Odiaga started on before Albany... :)  I think I will like it, it examines a style rather than a composer.

I don't even dare to calculate my average monthly expense. Fortunately I am slowing down...   Way down!
Lot's to hear in the fantastic Sibelius Edition boxes, but I have been encamped in the realm of historical recordings over the last week.

Yeah, I need to slow it down, too. The only recording right now that's on the horizon (aka my next purchase) will be Gilbert's last installment to his Nielsen series on Dacapo. Really look forward to that recording as the other recordings have been quite impressive. I still need to hear Oramo's recordings. So much music, so little time! :)

You don't fool me with this "on the horizon" b.s. You are one of those people who truly took the philosophical advise of "looking beyond the horizon" to heart!

:P Ouch, Paul! I'd disagree with you if there was something to disagree with. ;) You're right on the money (per usual).

Gosh, I see that this has the Op.119 (which I do not typically think of as a "Cantata," though I cannot much quarrel with the designation).  A temptation, I do call it.

Truly.  But the true interest for me lies in the other two works.  Never yet have I heard  either of them.

I shall be interested in your impression!  I've said afore that the Песнь о лесах is better than it tends to be reputed.

Pre-ordered from Am.de as they just "normalized" their shipping cost.
This is likely to become the "Box of the Summer"!   8)

I liked what this group did with their Bach/Shostakovich mash-up, so this one should be fun too.   :)

Has the look of something that will either be outstandingly bad or outstandingly good.  Hopefully the latter since I just ordered it for myself.
