I've always had great respect for Paddington because he is amusingly English and a eccentric bear He is a great British institution and emits great wisdom with every growl. Of course I have Paddington at home, he is a member of the family, sure he is from the moment he was born. We have adopted him.

the Byron Janis disc in the Philips Great Pianists series (2 discs), it appears to have a few Études not in the big box so it's not completely redundant.
"big pieces": BEETHOVEN Sonata 17 "Tempest", CHOPIN: Sonata 2, Scherzo 3, 4 Études, Ballade 1, Impromptu 1, SCHUBERT: Impromptu D.899/2, LISZT: Rigoletto Paraphrase, 'Dante' Sonata

Nothing hits you more pleasantly as this music. Recent acquisition, First listen.

Harry - unusual choice for the cover art considering the composer - looked on Amazon at the back label - the artist is William Oxer and he does mainly female portraitures in oils or acrylics - website HERE - I sent him an email for a potential explanation for choosing his painting for a Boccherini CD?  Will post back if I get a response - Dave :)

This one - also on the Schnitger/Hamburg-  might be interesting for Sonic Man too, as almost half of it is music by Scheidemann.

An outstandimg recording in every respect.

I must say I find that internal spiritual style unique and really moving, probably more moving than Zerer and certainly more moving than Karin Nelson and J-P Lacaudey.

Brahms: Horn Trio - Ashkenazy/Perlman/Tuckwell

The third movement is such a deep well of sadness, yet contains beauty within it.

"You overestimate my power of attraction," he told her. "No, I don't," she replied sharply, "and neither do you".
