So in the town/city you currently live in there are absolutely no women from the ages 21-26 that are attractive and single? What is the population in the town/city you live in?
There are, just nothing like it is in the city. Within preferable driving distance, about 30,000 people. And the area is more designed for retired people.

And where I live feels like an island... it's like a 20 minute radius where people are. Past that, you have 30 minutes of nearly uninhabited areas, with the exception of one town.

Regardless, I'm not sure how serious I can take all of this until I move. I'm not interested in one-night stands, and if I move in 6 months or so, what's the point of dating someone that lives nearby?

IMHO : way too much hesitation & cerebration, not enough celebration!

Cerebration... now that's a word I haven't heard before. Kinda like "cerebral," but sounds like a stereotypical Asian pronounciation of "celebration." lol  :P

Well, cerebration is rare.

And may be dangerous in the hands of the amateur.

Delius certainly helps my insomnia as well. Not that there's anything wrong with that of course. :)

I once thought of writing a skit (sort of a parody of Haydn's Farewell Symphony) where all the orchestra players playing a Delius piece fall asleep, one by one. But I couldn't stay awake to finish it.

You need an amanuensis for that.

Got this guy that I've known for five years asking if I wanted to be his boyfriend. Lol.  :P

What joyous news.  ::)

No, don't do that. It was probably very difficult for him to have taken that risk after five years. You need to find a way to tell him you're not interested without humiliating him or sacrificing whatever friendship you may have had.

Haha, it's all cool. We just laughed and went on to talk about other stuff.
"Have a girlfriend?" "No." "Have a boyfriend?" "Noooooo." "Wanna be my boyfriend?" Then we just laughed. Being casual and keeping expectations low is how you do it.

Now that I realize it, that's the third time a guy has shown interest in my, at least hoping I were bisexual.

That's a good way of handling it. Of course, I was kidding when I said run. This is a good friend of yours after all, so it's best to be honest.

Are you sure you're not? You might as well try. You could find your anime boy, instead.

Squall is my video game-kin, though. And Rinoa is my video game wife.

My anime-kin is Gohan, anime wife is Yui Hirasawa, even though different anime, but whatever...  :P

No wonder he wants to be your boyfriend.

I don't think he's into that stuff, though. He's 23 years older than me, for one (though only looks 10-15 years older).

I really don't get the joke... not sure what being gay has to do with anime. If anything, the anime community tends to be more heterosexual than normal. Where I work (a hardware store) there tends to be more gays and lesbians than the general population. So where are you people going with that?  ???
