Undoing Al Gore's legacy, bit by precious bit.

I don't know if or what Al Gore has to do with it, but whoever is responsible, including 'we the people', need to do some serious study of the constitution. That is totally amazing! :o

Gore while in the senate he was a big force in pushing for stuff like this. I forget the details but during the hysteria in the late 80s early 90s --McMartin pre-school for googlers --Gore was fanning the flames and behind some of the crazier laws.
I hasten add this quickly became bi partisan. But I think it's worth reminding people of Gore's actual record sometimes.

Couldn't agree more. I always thought of him as the 'silent but deadly' type... Didn't know about this one though.

Personally, I say "Thank God Boston's Olympic bid is dying on the vine; because, as we know from this past February, the MBTA is perfectly unfit even to get Bostonians alone where they need to be."

Recent reports suggest Boston could lose its bid for the 2024 Olympics amidst plummeting local support.

QuotePoland is one of the world's most religiously conservative countries. It's as Catholic as Catholic gets. So it's pretty unsurprising that its abortion laws are some of the strictest in Europe. Basically, you can't get an abortion in Poland unless you were raped or are near death. And even then a doctor can refuse to help you.

So desperate activists are trying something new. In a few days, a consortium of women's rights groups will convene in Germany, load a drone full of pills that can be used to safely induce abortions, fly it over the border to Poland and drop the pills to activists on the other side. Some would call that smuggling.

It's been dubbed the "Abortion Drone," which is a truly disturbing pairing of words. But the goal is noble: to deliver a much-needed service to Polish women, to raise awareness in Poland that safe abortion medication exists, and to pressure the Polish government to change its draconian laws.

Since when it is a noble goal to kiill innocent and defenseless human beings?
There is no theory. You have only to listen. Pleasure is the law. — Claude Debussy
