Well, that's one straight off that I regret leaving off my list, Bruce!

Excellent choices. Mind if I move my campsite a little closer to yours?  :D

Sarge

Please do...especially if you have an extra truckload of jangly guitars.  ;D

(PS, another Emmylou fan here, too!)

And I'm looking at Santana's Abraxas and thinking...the first rock album I ever bought...why didn't I include it?  :'(

Good point, as long as you consider it Rock, that's good enough for this thread.

My head is hurting too much so I gave up.  The Mrs can pick 2 I guess...

Lethevich

Iron Maiden - Powerslave / Candlemass - Tales of Creation

Celtic Frost - Monotheist / Devil Doll - The Sacrilege of Fatal Arms

Enter Shikari - Take to the Skies / Fields of the Nephilim - Elizium

Manic Street Preachers - Holy Bible / Megadeth - Rust in Peace

Motörhead - Inferno / Sham 69 - The Adventures of the Hersham Boys

Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation / Univers Zero - Heresie

Even from forcing myself to include some proper rock on the list, it kind of proves to me that I suck at this genre...

Excepting the Stevie Wonder album, I could live quite happily with jhar26's dozen. That Dusty recording is very special. I may have to boot one of my Emmylou albums to make room for it.
