Lamar and the Ravens pull it out 34-10 over Houston.

No 9ers fans here I guess. Exiting, close win last night. Green Bay nearly came away with it. But Love's final seconds pick crushed that hope -

Can you believe it? Two nights in a row teams lose by a score to a pick.  :-\

31-23, Lions go to Frisco!

Let's Go Bills!

Well, all the teams I support are gone.
Tired of the Chiefs.
ABTC (Anyone But The Chiefs) is now my pick.

The Ravens can take care of that for you.

I came back to China more than 20 years ago, after more than 20 years in California. I still can't get used to the "new" teams and in my head are still the "old" teams: Houston Oilers (not Titans), the Ravens are still the Browns, the Chargers are still San Diego, and don't get me started with the Raiders...

Rant over.
Ravens get my blessing and support, at least for one game.
Do what I must do, and let what must happen happen.

I'm rooting for Lamar and the Ravens - as I have all year. Been a while coming for Baltimore (it's been fifty some odd years since they even hosted a league championship). Debating getting a ticket and visiting some of my fam while in Maryland.

And I knew my Bills would blow it. Not sure if they'll get to the SB in the next few years but they've got the QB to do it with. I WAS genuinely surprised at how porous the defense was last night. They did not play like characteristic front seven at all. I'm convinced it's a mental thing with the playoffs. And, let's face it; they don't have the same caliber of a KC coaching squad that's been to the big fight and won over and over again. Still, it was a pretty good year for Buffalo.

For me the past few Conference Championship games have been far more fun to watch than the Super Bowl games. Of course, a lot of it depends on who your watching the games with. Last year I watched the SB with a gang of die-hard Eagles fans. Worst SB experience ever.  ;D

Avoiding fanatics this year. Looking forward to both of this afternoon's semi-final matches!

Haha. Too bad. A good one in Baltimore. Ravens really have no answer for the Mahomes-Kelce tandem and Lamar isn't running much. Deadly combo. 17-7, Chiefs. 3rd quarter.

A lesson on self-destruction.

That Jackson pick effectively ended all hope. Not a good decision, seemingly made in desperation. Not sure if that was Lamar's call or not but the play calling was not very good all night. And why did they wait until the 4th quarter to bring in Beckham? As you say, it was more self immolation than getting burned by whatever the Chiefs came up with tonight.

On the other hand, Detroit is shocking everyone with the 2 score lead over the 49ers at the half!  24-7, Lions.

I fell asleep at half time of the Lions Niners game, and woke up to...

49ers comeback and take it, 34-31 to advance to a match with Kansas City in Super Bowl LVIII on February 11.

But this was best game of the playoffs for me.

This (these) story really touched my heart.

A Buffalo Bills' player, Tyler Bass, was sadly and horribly abused by some folks on his public accounts after he missed a field goal attempt to even the score with Kansas City (apparently including death threats!).  Can't find the original article, but a cat rescue organization which he had helped in the past (in terms of posing for an ad for them in upstate NY--and note, he is also a "cat dad"  :) ), defended him--not just as a player, but even more as a person).  In their comments (on their Facebook account I believe), they suggested that folks who wanted to show their support of him to donate $22 to their shelter (his team number is 2).  A huge amount of money poured in...

Quote from Ten Lives Matter in a USA Today article:  "The kicker is a brand ambassador for the organization, which is a no-kill cat rescue and shelter. Fans were donating amounts of $22 to commemorate Bass's No. 2 jersey.

"WE STAND WITH TYLER BASS. DON'T BULLY OUR FRIEND," Ten Lives Club said in an Instagram post with a promotional photo of Bass holding a cat. "We just heard the terrible news that Tyler Bass is receiving threats after yesterday's game and our phones are ringing off the hook from people who want to donate $22 to Ten Lives Club in Tyler's name.

"Tyler doesn't deserve any of the hate he's receiving. He's an excellent football player and an even better person who took the time to help our organization and rescue cats last year. Leave our friend alone."

A number of articles:  https://www.wkbw.com/news/local-news/southtowns/im-so-happy-for-the-cats-over-270-000-donated-to-ten-lives-club-in-support-of-buffalo-bills-tyler-bass

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/a-transformational-moment-for-them-ten-lives-club-raises-284000-in-honor-of-tyler-bass/ar-BB1hfwly

And, it wasn't just from BBs fans, but from KC supporters and others.  Note:  I had also found another article about how the KC and BB fan groups pick a charity chosen by the other team if their team loses.

Beer and snacks ready.
I don't have a clear preference in the outcome. Well, maybe I slightly prefer SF (a team I usually dislike, having lived in LA for 22 years with the Rams and Raiders for part of that time), but I do like Purdy. Besides, I am a bit sick and tired of the Chiefs.
Let's hope it's a good game!

(Most fans here in China seem to support the Chiefs, more because of Taylor Swift than anything else!)

Is Taylor Swift popular in China?

I also dislike both teams, but would prefer to see the Chiefs lose.

I'm not a big fan of football, but I'll be watching it.  The friend who will be joing me is a big TS fan, so I expect that he'll be cheering for KC.

If nothing else, I do hope that it's a good game.  :)

It's 10-3 Niners at the half. My feeling is you have to stomp KC with extreme prejudice to beat them.

I've been watching it.  What do you mean by "you have to stomp KC with extreme prejudice to beat them"?  Sorry. but often I am not understanding what you are meaning.  :(
