Thanks John. Hope you survive Black Friday!

No turkey for me as I am in Toronto tonight. I get cheated out of Canadian Thanksgiving turkey and American thanksgiving turkey!

Hah. Yeah, I survived Black Friday. I lived to tell about it. :) The store I work at actually started their sales early this year (first sale started at 6 PM). It was complete chaos for several hours but it only happens once a year thankfully.

Thank you! And best of the day to everyone.
Though no turkey for me.  Have to be in work at 4:30 this afternoon, and a twelve hour shift tomorrow....

Hah...isn't retail the greatest? ::) ;D I worked a normal shift today and tomorrow as well, so I'm not really affected by it, but I know many people who have to pull those long shifts and my heart goes out to them, but that's the life of a retail slave. :)

Happy Thanksgiving to you to , oh great MI! May the turkey and stuffing happily be absorbed in your GI tract while listening to Adams'  harmonies forever and ever and ever and ever [at least for a week]...
May all our pies be delicious! We are having a chocolate pecan pie on the menu!!   :P

Time to cook!!! Music please! Hmmm...what is an appropriate piece for Thanksgiving? Beethoven's 5th! Nah....hmmm....solo piano....perhaps Chopin's Preludes? I wonder if turkeys enjoy classical music?

Thanks, Moonfish. I hope you and everyone here that celebrates Thanksgiving had a good one. I'm certainly stuffed now. I worked 12 PM to 9 PM and ate when I got home and now it's time to let the enzymes do the work. ;) ;D

They are very compelling to me though, I think them very good.
No thanksgiving in my country alas, so no Turkey which is not right, somehow :(

They're fine concertos (they won't be going back to the CD Shoppe! :)),and deserve a discerning fan such as yourself, Harry!  I'm interested in your description of them as "very compelling."  I used the word in the sense of "demanding immediate attention, drivingly forceful, or to exert an irresistible influence."  Do you mean the word more in the sense of "demanding respect, honor, admiration?"  As for the turkey - I'm as turkey-less as you  (vegetarian).

No turkey here in China either (although you can get it in certain stores catering to ex-pats). But I did pass by a stand that had roasted sparrows. Talk about disparity in size!

Now:
Dvorak Stabat Mater (Sinopoli)

Cheers to you, Vanessa, & Kimi, Paul!  God prosper you and preserve you in peace!

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving yesterday!

I spent the day listening to more music than I had expected. A s***-ton of Haydn (Autumn from The Seasons and symphonies 56-64) and some Messiaen (Canyons..., TS, TPL).
Beethoven's Op. 133 -- A fugue so bad that even Beethoven himself called it "Grosse".
