The new erato

Potential for the shortest thread ever if I hadn't posted.

Vote is about a week hence. Polls are close.

Personally I am an Anglophile. I think England will be better off without all those Scottish voters. So I favour devolution. If I were a Scot though I'd be very worried about it.

I'm amazed that 50% of Scotland is ready to jump into the economic unknown and rely on a foreign country's monetary policy. I expect that when people get to the polls, they will chicken out and common sense will prevail.

ok, Karl, you won this one

don't be surprised if I start the Thread that you were just getting ready for.... I'm watching 8)

BUT, FRANKLY, What's wrong with Scotland? I've only been to my Ancestral Homeland once when I was a child, and I believe some hooligans in Edinb. gave my mums and I some hassle... I also don't recall it being very modernistic... lovely hills of Dromnadrochet (forgive me)... sunset at 11... sheep...

They say Scottish girls are ugly. What's up with that? Tell me it's not true!!

This is really foolish of Scotland, but then again look how many times Quebec has tried to succeed from Canada.

seen on CNN this morning:  the suggestion that the new royal baby will provoke enough sentiment to provide victory to the No side.

Without success?

If there was success, then Quebec would be it's own country right now. :)

If "no" wins, everyone will say it's the royal baby's responsibility, even if the royal baby had nothing to do with it.

It wouldn't be the first time that the responsibility of having a baby would make many to come back to their senses...  ;D ;D ;D
