Thanks, Moony, for finding that cover.

The cover didn't quite make me laugh, but your translation sure did ;D
It's all good...

I guess they don't really count since they were made for kids and not "serious listeners" like ourselves! Ha ha!
Anyways, this one made me crack up. Sure - Four Seasons,  but..... it is just plain stupid as far as I'm concerned.  0:)

Can't say I see a problem with that one.

Or that one.

There is none in both cases. They're meant for kids and they are fun.

As for this:

"Gross music for little whores"?

I can only say the filth is in the mind of reader: there is no such connotation in German. Looks like spending too much time thinking about Trump makes one's mind similar to his... ;D

Well, if they're for kids, then I take back everything I thought about the Peer Gynt cover. It's fun.

I love that Four Seasons cover. I don't think I'll see a cuter thing for the rest of the day.

I still think they are silly (even for kids - which I was well aware of by the way).

What about this one? Neat and clean, eh? Very Grieg....err....right?

If it dissuades even one person from buying the recording it's done its job.  ;D

Yeah, the German on the cover says "Great Music for Little Listeners."  I actually don't mind those covers.  They're far better than the illustrations that often accompany kid's stuff.

That cover was from 1988. It was part of DG's "3D Classics" series of CDs from the '80s:

I have this one:

I reckon the 3D Classics series, graphics-wise, was a heap better than Decca's Ovation series from the same time. Decca decided to make the images on their covers horrid blocky bitmaps. For example, I have this CD:

The whole Ovation series from the '80s is like that. Ugh.

Here's another Ovation cover:

Double Ugh.

Hmm, what is the story behind the pixelation art? It seems like a pretty crazy idea in the first place?

In the early days of the CD, to emphasize how wonderfully digital it was (like an Atari video game).
