"Did the president, in any of those interactions that you shared with us today, ask you what you should be doing, or what our government should be doing, or the intelligence community, to protect America against Russian interference in our election system?" Democratic Sen. Martin Heinrich asked Comey.

"I don't recall a conversation like that," Comey said.

Heinrich pressed: "Never?"

"No," Comey said. "Not with President Trump. I attended a fair number of meetings like that with President Obama."

Trump is not inclined to "find the real killers" OJ-style. Prosecutors are known to consider strategic incuriousity a very important tell. The "non-target suspect" proclaims innocence, he did didn't do it, but the "it" hardly disturbs him. Judge for yourself. Does Trump say and do what would show there is something, anything he wants to get to the bottom of other than a dish of ice cream?

I'd say I'm enjoying all of this a little bit more than a Hillary Clinton presidency, still. Even if the utter nonsense from all sides is literally driving me to a mindset of pure nihilism.

Trump and the true meaning of 'idiot'

When words fail you, etymology is your friend:

https://www.nytimes.com/2017/06/12/opinion/trump-and-the-true-meaning-of-idiot.html?action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=opinion-c-col-left-region&region=opinion-c-col-left-region&WT.nav=opinion-c-col-left-region
.

An excellent article. Given the title you know what to expect, but the tone is surprisingly neutral, almost clinical.

Very good article, although having read it I'm not sure if he's an idiot, an imbecile or a moron.

Maryland and DC file suit against Trump.  If it is decided that Maryland and DC have standing, this will be the most important political development this week.  It would also guarantee some juicy case law down the road.

Dem introduces COVFEFE Act.  No, things like this don't contribute to a 24% approval rating for Congress.

Maybe it bumped it up a notch.

Tweets are official communications even if the WH wants no communications to be official, which on the advice of attorneys none are. They are just playing "Executive Branch". In the game news is fake unless it's a leak, then it's true as a leak and fake otherwise. It's a cool game.

So you're among the 24%, then.  Got it.

I approve 900% of what I agree with. Congress is on the whole worthy of the low regard the public has for it.

Trump Jong Il invites His Employees To Praise Him During Cabinet Meeting

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who has publicly broken with her boss on a number of issues, hailed Trump's message to the world as transformational and called it a "new day" at the U.N.

"I think the international community knows we're back," she added.

"Thank you," Trump responded. "It's true."

I guess we don't need Alec Baldwin any more. I'm a little surprised at the 900% approval rating from Nikki Haley, whose last known address was United States, Earth.

Just in case you suspected hyperbole about the Trump cabinet meeting, watch this:

     https://www.youtube.com/v/6ARgUIpM6f0

The Covfefe Act Has A Silly Name — But It Addresses A Real Quandary

I (heh!) disagree, the name is great, and the purpose is serious:

While the bill's name is silly, it addresses a legitimate issue. The PRA's framers in 1978 likely did not envision a future in which the president was making constant public statements, typos and all, immediately read and discussed worldwide.

Yup yup....live by the tweet, die by it, the media isn't the message yet, the message is the message in any media, though there's a little message on the side about how Trump is a revoltin' imbecile who can't even get through 140 characters without embarrassing the country.

I could make it only this far.

After the first 9 words I knew it was going to be a list of things conservatives used to pretend to care about. Next week they'll be lamenting "states' rights" and "personal responsibility."

You know, I just realized something.

Besides that, I'm gonna have to sic Mark (GAG) Levin on you... there's no "collusion"... there's nothing, ...

JUST LISTEN to how Maryland State Attorney Froesh states his suit... the "emolient"(sorry) clause... Trump can't have dignitaries at his hotels cause he's make money off it? like Obama makes money off his book?

ah, Dems Go Home, it's so tiresome ... Al Franken tiresome...

Trump can't have All the World's Dignitaries stay at his hotel (free will choice let's say) because they might influence him??

Maybe the plan for Froesh is to bankrupt his budget?

oy vey,

the fact that everything being spoon fed by the media is being sucked up like some nectar d'pablum, and everything is in a frenzy of "truth" by a press caught as liars over the course of the last 12 months...

You people are really scared, aren't you?

THAT's what scares me. You are all like characters in something like 'The Prisoner', or some BBC Twilight Zone meant for "within the parameter" (the middle class and above).

YOU are 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers'... dearest oh dear, can no one see what the double standard of the whole "respect the office" when Barry was there?? Had ANY of these things happened, and you all know, because the Masters are playing race war cards left right and center... had any of these things happened under Barry, by those who "will not be ruled by the n***"... I mean, seriously, what? , "orange" is a "good color to hate"???

How do you KNOW that you too are not part of this mass hallucination? Remember the movie 'Existenz'? How do you know that Trump's "official" acts would not have been the same "official" acts of Hillary? I take the head scratching attack on Syria as example, the one that gave the Dems a brief boner. You don't think Hilldawg would have been down for that?

Of course, she would have murdered any rogue (independent) media, so, the news deliver system would be totally "system out", , Unity All the Time, Unity Everywhere, Hillary Loves You, Iran Must Die...

something like that

No, this sci-fi world everyone is noticing now is most certainly prearranged, and what we are being shown and told is most def not what is really going on. But, there is a concerted effort to deny any individual the right that the Corporation enjoys,
