Now that's what I call good eatin'!
Of course the damage to your car and the repair shop bill will make this meal quite expensive !

More Grauniad gold: "Empaths" charging $250+/hour to feel your pain.  And it's published in the "Science" section.  (I just don't know why I don't give money during the Graun's incessant begging campaigns.)

Google hit with $2.7 billion fine by EU.  Alphabet only has $86 billion or so in cash on hand.  I'm guessing the decision will be appealed to the European Court of Justice.

French president Emmanuel Macron invited Donald Trump for the Bastille day celebration to commemorate the 100 anniversary of the entry of USA in WW1.

Will he accept (narcissist) or decline (isolationist) ?

A real personality test !

As you might have surmised for a truely narcissist, Donald Trump will be attending the Bastille day parade in Paris

He should make sure to visit at least one US military cemetery and wonder aloud if the US got a good deal.

News, or paid advertisement?  Sometimes it's hard to tell.  (At least NBC News had the sense to produce their own video and limit praise of Steve Jobs to hagiography-lite; earlier in the week, the local NBC affiliate ran a McDonald's ad masquerading as a news story about some menu change and used McDonald's promo videos.)

Germany passes easy, painless tax on select US tech firms.  Wait, I mean Germany passes useful, and powerfully progressive anti-"hate speech" law.  (After October, it's just one more thing for the US and Germany to squabble over.)

The Amazon Post's Editorial Board sides with Google and chides Yurpean officials.  This op-ed in no way reflects the opinion of nor defends the long-term interests of Jeff Bezos.

What sounds like true wierdness is that the Orthodox Union actually certifies some drinking water brands as kosher, and others as kosher for Passover.

There is method in the madness.  Or rather, an excuse.  It is theoretically possible that the equipment used to bottle the water may have been used for non kosher products prior to being used for the water, and then never kashered (that is,  given the appropriate treatment to take away their non kosher status). And certain bottles use materials which are not kosher for Passover in their caps which could theoretically leach into the water.

You may gauge my view of the necessity of actually having the water certified like this from the fact that I used the word theoretical,  (In the case of the caps, very theoretical, since a non mimimal amount would need to leach into the water to render it not kosher.)

More corporate shilling by the American Press, in this case, Always Bet Clinton News (aka, ABC News).  In addition to this, the Sunday night broadcast aired a two minute segment.  That's at least four minutes of free (?) ad time.  Even the Amazon Post has been more discreet about it.

(I know, just how can I question the objectivity of ABC News when the Chief Anchor is George Stephanopoulos?)
