...Or eventually end up under house arrest, do you mean to imply? ;) ;D

Imagination is always a treasured resource.

Yep. And so is humo(u)r.

Let me rephrase: "Or eventually end up under self-imposed domestic confinement, do you mean to imply?" ;)

This describes part of my young adulthood very well, surprisingly enough, when I lived my imagination more than I did my life...

I do sincerely hope that if/when I am next in the Netherlands(November?) that I can meet up with my Dutch friends and look forward very much to that :)

Allmost missed this, but it contains great news! A very warm welcome, anywhere in the Netherlands, in case you'll manage to pay it a visit! I propose that both Johans first try their warm welcome programme with Jeffrey, in case he's first here, in Leiden, and then you will be subjected to the Revised Programme. It can contain anything of your liking, including a visit to our other musical friends here (as I manage to drive a car, a mundane trick learned late in my life, but I guess the other Johan never took that trouble ;) )

Anyhow: we won't embarrass you too much with inconvenient proposals, but let it be known that you're more than welcome!  :D
... music is not only an 'entertainment', nor a mere luxury, but a necessity of the spiritual if not of the physical life, an opening of those magic casements through which we can catch a glimpse of that country where ultimate reality will be found.    RVW, 1948

I am deeply honoured by your extremely kind proposals :)

By all means experiment first on Jeffrey and submit your revised suggestions to me in due course ;D ;)

I do-very much-hope to be able to visit your delightful(if oh so flat!) country towards the end of the year but will keep you informed of my movements nearer the time :) :)

My proposed Itinerary for Netherlands visit:

Day 1: Extended visit to Havergal Brian Festival in Rotterdam (wife and daughter left at hotel)

Day 2: Edam tasting in Utrecht

Day 3: Attend Braga Santos Concert in The Hague; myself travelling with Johan (Christo) in limousine, Johan (Jezetha) following behind on bicycle, pogo-stick or space-hopper.

Trust that all this can be arranged without too much hassle  ;D

:) :)

I wish there were a Havergal Brian Festival and a Braga Santos concert! I can also imagine a special banquet for 'so-called Braga Santos experts' at the Concertgebouw (ticket touts are doing a roaring trade).

Btw - I'll be gone today and most of tomorrow (mini mini break with wife and little girl to the small town of Harderwijk, where they have a famous Dolfinarium)

Behave yourselves...  0:)

Have fun with the dolphins Johan. See if they respond to your whistling of the opening bars of the "Gothic Symphony"  ;D
