Mike, it depends on how one defines "in the public eye."

Mike, I was once in the same restaurant in which it seemed that owlice (or someone else in her near vicinity) was bunging about fragments of fortune cookies;  whether any of the projectiles lodged in the public eye, I do not clearly recall.

Mr. Henning, I did nothing, nothing, I tell you, with fortune cookies (except eat 'em)!

It was Kung Pao Chicken I was flinging!

Mike, thank you! I'll let the abuse fly while you're away. Shhhhh! Don't tell a soul!

Have fun wherever it is you are heading!

Prudent selection;  sticks to the target much better.

I do so like the idea of smacking members of the former site, or even other sites.

Me too, especially if it's a certain right-wing whacko at CMG.

What a waste of electrons that would be! I'd want my bashing, should I choose to engage in it, to be fun!

Christo and myself had the immense pleasure of meeting fellow GMG member Vandermolen and family (wife Katy and daughter Ellie) in Leiden, the Netherlands, yesterday afternoon and evening. We went for a meal at Italian restaurant Donatello, where the food was as nice as it was inexpensive (and so it's very popular with the students from Leiden University, where Ellie is studying, too).

The momentous occasion was immortalized, twice, by a friendly waitress.

I am assuming-since you say that the food was nice-that this photograph was taken before you started eating ;) ;D

How did Katy and Ellie cope with the musical segment of your conversation? :) :)

I met my face in the mirror this morning. Pretty rough going.

We were halfway...

We kept musical things to a bearable minimum. Fortunately, Jeffrey and I had already talked music for one and a half hours before that, and Johan and Jeffrey had a chat whilst walking to Donatello (with me happily conversing with Katy). So the ladies survived the ordeal without any problems!

First class :)

I take it that when you were walking to the restaurant you were discussing with Katy Robert Simpson's contention that HB had the greatest understanding, of all composers, of the genius of the bass tuba or was it the influence on Brian's symphonic work of the landscapes of Staffordshire and Shropshire? ;D :)

Were you that fly-on-the-pavement I kept almost treading on? How do you know?!

Seriously, though, Katy is a very interesting and intelligent woman. So - the Old Man didn't make an appearance...

I have spies everywhere :)

Who do you think the kindly waitress was really working for?

Seriously...I am delighted that it all went so well :)

I have only met ex members Larry Rinkel and Steve Molino about 5 years ago.  It seems like ages, but I made a special arrangement to go to NYC and see the city and go to concerts.  It was a wonderful experience, so I am not believing any of this junk about Larry I've read.  I remember Alban Berg from CMG writing some of the best posts I have ever read on the Internet.

You mean not everyone has figured out that Sfz is Larry Rinkel?
