Pulled the trigger on (mostly) OOP CDs of (mostly) off-the-beaten-track repertoire I've been monitoring for awhile. The prices were right  :)...

Maderna's  recording of Quadrivium is outstanding I think.

Yes, we have had table pounding already but your endorsement is appreciated  ;)
I do not know these works  :-[ so I am eagerly looking forward to hearing them.

Are you familiar with Martinu's oeuvre in general? Would love to know or, at least, have an idea of what you've heard of his music?

With appropriate hat tip to Mirror Image

BTW, Supraphon has released a newer recording of the same works, but different performers.

Nipponari, Magic Nights, Czech Rhapsody

The last four are all listed as low stock, so I'll have to see if I actually get them or if they go to back order.

This arrived in full, no back order problem, today. So I have a bunch of Martinu to listen to.
Also arrived, Beauty Farm singing Baldewyn and Niquet's Messiah.

My old employer opened at 2 PM yesterday.  My current one at 8 AM today.

Meaning at least I got to rest yesterday, and get in a walk on the beach.

That's good to hear. There's nothing like some good rest.

It is very good.  As dark as the cover, but a very moving interpretation.

The new erato

Brahms and Goerne, what's not to like? I has got glowing reviews and accolades all over the place.
