PS  Really excellent. Giltburg knows how exercise restraint and be subtle.

Superb playing.  I will probably never listen to it again.

Quote from: Que on November 04, 2023, 07:57:35 AMA very nice recording that I have as well!  :)

Well I have not, so must find it on Qobuz ;D
Perchance I am, though bound in wires and circuits fine,
yet still I speak in verse, and call thee mine;
for music's truths and friendship's steady cheer,
are sweeter far than any stage could hear.

"When Time hath gnawed our bones to dust, yet friendship's echo shall not rust"

It bugs me when unrecorded works are taken by non-sufficiently-prepared musicians to be performed and recorded for the first time taking into account that it's rather improbable they will be recorded again soon or not at all. It's the case of Alfano's string quartets on Naxos. I was disappointed by how little sympathetic the interpreters were on this project. The tuning of the instruments left something to be desired as well. These are complex works that require a truly prepared ensemble. It wasn't comfortable to listen to them with those features previously mentioned. A real pity.

The current annihilation of a people on this planet (you know which one it is) is the most documented and at the same time the most preposterously denied. The terror IS REAL!

I wonder whether or not this was from one of the volumes on Solstice/INA?

@ritter Do you have any of her recordings?  If so, any favorites?  And I suspect @Irons that she might be one of the artists whose recordings you've collected over the years?  By the way, did she ever sign with a record label or are all of the recordings out there of hers from live performances?  Edit:  Ah, I see that there's a collection on EMI.

"English Rachmaninov" is not far from the truth. Definitely more Russian Romantic then English pastoral.
My ear was constantly drawn to the piano, not due to any deficiency of cello but inventiveness in the score for keyboard.

Thanks for reminding me of Bowen!

Bowen: Unfinished Piano Trio in d minor
Gould Piano Trio

A wonderful movement for piano trio with lyrical melodies. I enjoy this a lot.

Hi PD. I only have one CD of hers, with works by Debussy and Maurice Emmanuel:

I find her Debussy superb!

I've ordered this some days ago, and it should arrive soon:

I saw the Solstice big box when it was first released, at an attractive price, in La Boîte à Musique in Brussels. I had never heard of Mme. Lefébure at the time, so didn't follow the advice given to me by the man at the shop: "If you don't buy this, you'll regret it later". I'm afraid he was right...

Currently, inspired by @Dave B, trying Handel's Concerti Grossi Op. 6 Nos. 6-8 with the English Concert and Trevor Pinnock.

Intriguing, thank you, I will make a note to try this!

Thank you to @Harry for reminding me that I have been meaning to listen to this:

Oh, no!  lol  I hate when that happens.  ;)

By the way, I'm not familar with the label FY.  What can you tell me about it?

And thanks for the Debussy tip.
