Yes correct, not as nice artwork as the original release, but the music breaths the good old days of the Consort!
My list of CD'S I have stowed away in my Roon library gets larger every day, so I feel for you Que! So much music on offer. :)

I discovered this ensemble through their recording Donna, s'amor m'invita -- which at the time was the only one streaming. I was so impressed that I bought, with some of my children's inheritance, the one you've been enjoying.

I'm slightly less patient of instrumental early music these days than I was back then -- but obviously that's just a matter of taste.

Haydn: string quartet op.64/3, 2 versions

Honours are about even this time, in that I have slightly mixed feelings about both performances while finding them both decent. But there are times when I think the Kodaly are just a touch slow, and times when I think the Mosaiques are just a touch fast. Some of those times even coincide!

Arnold Bax.

Violin Concerto.
A Legend, a Symphonic Poem.
Romantic Overture.
Golden Eagle, Incidental music to the drama by Clifford Bax.

Lydia Mordkovitch, Violin.
London Philharmonic Orchestra, Bryden Thomson.
Recorded 190-91, at St, Jude's Church, Central Square, London.

A few new things from Bax for me to listen too, which I never heard before, like the Legend, and  Golden Age. The Violin Concerto is a great favourite with me, and well appreciated. Certainly if it comes in such good performances and sound. Mordkovitch has precisely the right amount of compassion this work needs from the soloist,  and Thomson knows how to insert his bit and gives the Violin concerto its full due.
And the rest of the works do not disappoint at all, instead they are an enrichment to my musical knowledge of Bax, and that is always welcome.

Maurice Ravel (1875– 1937).

Daphnis et Chloé, (1909– 12)
Symphonie chorégraphique.
Complete Ballet.

Sinfonia of London Chorus, Simon Halsey chorus master.
Sinfonia of London, John Wilson.
Recording venue, Church of St Augustine, Kilburn, London 2022.
Front cover: Woodcut by Aristide Joseph Bonaventure Maillol (1861–1944)

From what I have been reading on GMG regarding this new Chandos recording, my two cents is that Wilson delivered a pristine performance of this brilliant ballet, in which he is not missing a detail in this score, and brings out multiple colours which incites ones imagination. SOTA sound. I really enjoyed what is on offer.

I was thinking about a series I saw on HBO "The Gilded Age" at the same time I was listening to the music. That must have slipped in while writing the compositions down. Made me grin seeing your correction. Thanks for noticing it, I corrected the error.

I find it to be a most beautiful and poetic work PD. Ideal late-night listening.

Listening to some tracks from it now (found on youtube).  Any favorites?

And I'm curious, when was this album originally released?

It's no Mehta, but intense performance, never loses the momentum and the singing at the end is absolutely sublime.

Some of the most thoroughly delightful and charming piano music known to me! I have a particular soft spot for the succinct Thème varié, op. 89, which has an endearing quality that rises it above the level of typical "salon" music.
