Madiel

I've suddenly remembered my quest to listen to all the different recordings that Faust, Queyras and Melnikov have done, both separately and in combinations with each other.

So I'll get around to the Schumann about 10 years after release.
Nobody has to apologise for using their brain.

Do you know the release date? I'm not having much luck finding it.

According to this webpage, 2024-12-31, but I'm not sure about how reliable it could be.

The current annihilation of a people on this planet (you know which one it is) is the most documented and at the same time the most preposterously denied.

Thank you. That site didn't come up when I searched.

The best Jerry, the best!

I bought Hamelin's own Etudes CD recently, what a great sense of humor.

Scion7

Well, the rear cover has now been posted, and some have it available to purchase now, while other sites say January ... still no way to preview sound bites (yet?).
Saint-Saëns, who predicted to Charles Lecocq in 1901: 'That fellow Ravel seems to me to be destined for a serious future.'

Steinway D

According to Presto Classical, the release date is February 2nd.

It's a three-minute sonata by Marc-Andre Hamelin on his upcoming album. Via Hyperion's notes:

"Hamelin's injunctions to the pianist include 'unctuous and dribbling with flavor', a repeat marked 'oh yeah, once more', 'let's taste everything in this box', a further repeat labelled 'mmm, there are still a few left', and an unapologetic final 'to hell with the diet ... all gone!'."

Sounds deliciously (pun) like Rossini in Péchés de vieillesse mood, only he'd have titled it not sonata but Prélude diabétique:D
"Ja, sehr komisch, hahaha,

drum verzeihn Sie, hahaha,
wenn ich lache, hahaha! "

Cut Circle released a new Josquin Motets and chansons recording, which seemed promising but I did not like it at all upon first listen. Too rushed and fussy. But curious of others' thoughts.
