Interesting decisions? .. you mean like Daniher pushing his opponent slightly in the back, and the Giant gets done for shoving the ball out with lack of intent, leading to his penultimate goal? That type of interesting?  ;D

I prefer playing the Lions than the Giants next week to be honest. They were a bit more uneven this season but then again, they're in the prelims, so it's going to be a tough one.

Saturday 8.30 am it is for me. Just noticed we're playing at the MCG and not GMBHA...What's the point of having a stadium... Wouldn't we want an "actual" home advantage??? Or are they just looking at a bigger "home" crowd and more revenues?

How about Port's Hinckley winding up the Hawks at full time? That was priceless. That'll teach the young hawks seeing themselves in the prelims a game early... >:D

Yes that was one of the interesting decisions I was referring to. There was something in the first quarter too.

Geelong have long been used to having home games in Melbourne. When you're regularly the only Victorian team making it this far you need to help the Melburnians out.

55-36 HT

Very nervy, lots of fumbles, missed kicks, dodgy umpire decisions.

We pushed for a very good spell in Q2, with some proper quality goals, and kept the Lions under the cosh.

Fairly calm about it weirdly  8)  There's that certain reassuring demeanour by Cameron, Dangerfield, Miers that comes across and the young ones are in the mood too.

Only slight worry is that we haven't seen Daniher at all yet. Don't want him to turn up too much.

Other than that, In Scott We Trust.

it's the hope that kills you...

*sigh*

Brisbane deserves it.

Not sure either of today's team will match the Swans next week, though.

ah well...See you in March.  ;)

Commiserations Papi. Yes, I'm looking towards next year and can the Suns make the finals for the first time in their history. My money is on the Lions in the final
Cheers

I recorded it and just finished watching. That was quite a game, and in front of a massive crowd.

But hey, they played the Marseillaise at the end...

Thank you Holden.

Good luck next season, the Suns are definitely closer to the Finals' door. Hardwick needs that extra nudge.

That French bit hurt a little more at the end.

Worst things, in a non-Geelong context, I actually enjoy watching the Lions over the season. Neale, Charlie Cameron, Hipwood, Daniher make a nice playing bunch.

Damn it  ;D

Yeah.

It was interesting for a WHILE. And then it wasn't.

I am glad I didn't get up at 5.30 am for this.

Just watched a bit of the medal ceremony on catch up and 30 seconds of Katy Perry, that will do  :o

Were the Lions too rampant or the Swans bottled it? Or both?

There's something very heartwarming about Chris Fagan. Glad he got that one.

(at least Hawkins and Tuohy were the HI-Lux lap of honour car no.1. We have that  :P )
Olivier

I think it was a bit of both. The Lions figured out a way of getting through in latter parts of the 2nd quarter, slammed half a dozen goals through, and Sydney couldn't make the tactical adjustments. Then they were just worn out.

One of the goals just before halftime was absolutely amazing and I honestly think it was a kind of psychological blow: we can't stop them, they're playing that well.

30 to 40 points still mean nothing  8)

Well done Richmond.

No, seriously.

I still have a 6-nations weekend ahead with something to play for, but still, welcome back footy, we missed you  ;D
