     I'm back to George Gently, which is the best long form Brit policer after Prime Suspect.

     For a short series I'd go with The Long Shadow, based on the Yorkshire Ripper case.

I quite enjoyed Prime Suspect back in the day.  Who all is broadcasting George Gently?

Am really enjoying the mini-series The Count of Monte Cristo starring Sam Cliflin (a new-to-me actor).  Watched episode 5 of it recently.  The count is on his revenge tour and has help now.

   I stopped watching TV, for the most part, around 1982. I never watch old stuff from my childhood, because it's generally awful. However, I love Peter Falk, so started watching this. To my surprise, I remember all the old character actors from when I was a TV nut as a kid. I'm getting serious nostalgia kicks. The early episodes are horribly dated, but at around episode 8 (with Malcolm McDowell), the show seems to have jumped up a couple of notches in writing, acting, and editing.
